About Simone & ZoéBonBon

ZoéBonBon was born from a pause — a moment between chapters, after the last dish was served at my restaurant and before the next dream took shape.

I’m Simone Tong — a chef, a mother, a seeker. My journey has taken me from the bold flavors of a Sichuanese-Singaporean childhood, through the intense rhythm of NYC kitchens, to the soulful food scene of Austin, Texas. I’ve opened restaurants, written menus, built teams, and poured my heart into every plate. But after a season of deep reflection, I came back to the simplest of joys: chocolate.

ZoéBonBon is where flavor meets feeling.

Each bonbon is a love letter — to heritage, to beauty, to the bittersweet. I use premium couverture, healing herbs, natural ingredients, and a touch of play. My fillings are inspired by memory, travel, and curiosity — from Lady Grey and miso caramel to yuzu matcha and cherry blossom. Some flavors whisper. Others shout. All are made by hand, with care and intention.

Named for my daughter, Zoé, this is a project rooted in love — a return to joy, to craft, and to myself.

Sustainability & Sourcing

I work with trusted couverture makers who prioritize ethical sourcing and high-quality cacao. Whenever possible, I choose organic, local, or seasonal ingredients — not just for taste, but for the values they carry. Packaging is minimal and recyclable, designed to honor the product, not distract from it.
